The Nissan Skyline GT-R has earned its place as one of the most celebrated performance cars ever built. But like every engineering masterpiece of its time, there is always room for modern day improvement.

The front strut towers are among the most critical structural areas of every BNR chassis. They serve as a primary load path between the suspension and the chassis, absorbing enormous forces generated through acceleration, braking, cornering, and decades of road use. Over time, these areas become increasingly susceptible to fatigue, corrosion, and structural deterioration—especially on vehicles subjected to motorsport or modern high-horsepower applications.

Nissan recognized this weakness during development of the legendary NISMO Z-Tune.

Working alongside one of Japan's most respected chassis reinforcement specialists, each donor chassis underwent an extraordinary restoration process. Carbon fiber reinforcement was individually hand-laid onto the vehicle's weak points before the chassis was mounted to a rotisserie and cured. Every reinforcement was engineered specifically for that individual chassis—not manufactured as a separate component and bonded on later. The result was one of the strongest and most rigid Skyline GT-R chassis Nissan had ever produced.

That philosophy became the inspiration behind BNR Heritage's Strut Reinforcement Product.

More than twenty years later, we set out to engineer a modern solution that honors the same commitment to structural integrity while remaining practical for today's restorations.

After more than two years of design, engineering, prototyping, and testing, BNR Heritage developed a structural carbon fiber reinforcement that strengthens one of the Skyline GT-R's most critical load-bearing areas while seamlessly integrating into the engine bay with an OEM-inspired appearance.

Unlike traditional cosmetic engine bay dress-up components, these reinforcements were engineered with a purpose.

They help reinforce the strut tower area, increase chassis rigidity, and provide long-term protection to one of the Skyline GT-R's most critical structural areas—all while creating a clean, uniform carbon fiber aesthetic that complements factory engine bays, NISMO-inspired builds, and tastefully modified tuner vehicles alike.
